This is the photo that has everyone arguing in the comments right now. At first glance, it looks totally normal.
A man wearing a black braided leather choker around his neck. Simple, right?
But look again. Look REALLY close at the skin, the hair, and the shirt. Something is off. And once you see what it actually is, you will kick yourself for not seeing it immediately.
*It’s NOT a necklace.*
That is not a man’s neck at all.
This viral photo that has stumped thousands of people is a classic optical illusion, and what you are actually looking at is a *man’s WRIST.*
Here’s the breakdown that is blowing people’s minds:
*1. The “Beard Stubble” is actually ARM HAIR.*
The fuzzy hair at the top of the photo that looks like a man’s beard and the bottom of his chin is just the hair on his forearm. When you take a super close-up photo of a wrist from below, arm hair looks exactly like stubble.
*2. The “Neck” is his WRIST.*
The skin that you think is his neck and throat is actually the side of his wrist. The thin, delicate skin on the inside of the wrist looks just like neck skin in a close-up.
*3. The “Shirt” is his hand tucked under.*
The beige t-shirt you think you see at the bottom and sides is actually his palm and fingers curled in. The seam of the shirt is actually the crease of his hand.
The bracelet never moved. The camera just flipped the perspective. The photographer turned a simple men’s leather bracelet into a fake choker just by shooting it from a weird low angle.
It’s the same trick as those photos where a person’s leg looks like an arm, or a dog looks like it’s floating. So no, it’s not a weird fashion trend of men wearing tight leather chokers on their neck. It’s just a $15 braided leather bracelet being worn normally on a wrist, shot to look like something else entirely.
Did you see a neck at first? 95% of people do. Look again now that you know – you can clearly see it’s a wrist.
